A depression over Italy will draw moist air masses from the east towards the Alps. At the same time, the foehn wind will start to blow.
It will be dry in the valleys in the afternoon, with a cold northerly wind blowing. It will still be snowing lightly in some areas on the mountains, but the precipitation will subside everywhere by the evening.
An intermediate high will dry the air masses and will ensure stable conditions. It will remain foehn-like.
Morning residual clouds will clear and then the sun will shine widely, in the afternoon it will be mostly clear. A cold northerly wind will continue to blow.

It will be sunny across the region on Sunday, with increasing cloud cover from the west in the afternoon. The northerly wind will ease, but it will remain very cold for the time of year. Monday will be very cloudy and there may be light snowfall in some areas. Tuesday will continue to be changeable. There will be lots of clouds and a few sunny spells. On Wednesday, the high wind will shift to the north and it will be widely sunny. It will be foehn in many valleys.
